MVC is really (and almost alone in Madagascar) authentically rainforest friendly, many of its principals working for or with actual national park management. There is no other vanilla company on the vanilla coast who does this. Vanilla, an island endemic iteration of the planifolia species, is with us always traditionally cured and prepared in the classic bourbon (by hand and natural sun) method, in the rainforest rim of the valleys between Marojejy and Masoala, the greenest and healthiest tract of land in the island. It is in this focal region where the best vanilla on earth has developed the culture, cultivation, and community it and us come from.
 
In the earlier part of the harvest we cure beans from Diana, the region astride the chocolate valley in the north. In the late part of the season (running into October and the start of export) we cure from the shores and valleys of Mananara and Maroansetra south of the great rainforest. Beans now can be exported from all major cities of Madagascar, discarding the former rigamarole and rule to have beans sit in dusty shelves in the capital’s airport to graft and grift off its exit. Whereas collectors and stockhouses sit on and fade bean quality before the export airlift flight, the MVC gives you the latest and freshest, and flies from the nearest regional domestic airports to our farms all the way through in transit. Liberated after hard work from lobbies or council, the vanilla community here has been busy alleviating cost burdens for you the customer, and elevating quality for everyone. 
 
Grade A beans are calibrated to target low to mid 30%s of humidity, and the best Grade A beans are on the midpoint of the continuum between TK and gourmet. You are getting the finest vanilla Madagascar has to offer, and the world’s best beans. That’s all. Hold us to it and try.
 
MVC vanilla beans are cured perfectly to top out vanillin and the ratio to moisture, evacuate empty water weight (not try to sell it to unsuspecting consumers to boost weight and appearance,) and do not mold. Vanillin in nature is an antifungal, not just a flavor, and vanilla beans if truly cured and complete have tiny glassy crystals of vanilla and great aroma and self defense from mold. Sealed properly in the cold and dark, our beans store much longer and better than the wet or brittle pods that are purveyed and sold around the internet to elevate trader or ecommerce platform profits. Even for years. MVC beans are properly, fully cured and matured before they leave the island, and have integrity and stability of flavor and taste.
